Dive into the timeless world of the Classic Tri Peaks solitaire card game, known also as Three Peaks, Tri Towers, or Triple Peaks. This engaging solitaire variant uses a single deck with the goal of clearing three peaks formed by cards. Whether you're a seasoned card game aficionado or a newcomer looking for a fun challenge, Tri Peaks offers a delightful mix of strategy and luck.
The game kicks off with eighteen cards laid out face-down on the tableau, crafting three pyramids, each with three overlapping tiers. Ten additional cards are placed face-up above these pyramids, setting the stage for your strategic journey. The remaining twenty-four cards form the stock, with the first card flipped into the waste pile, ready to start your adventure.
To move a card from the tableau to the waste pile, it must be either one rank higher or lower than the top card of the waste pile, regardless of suit. This creates a dynamic sequence (e.g., 7-8-9-10-9-10-J-10-9-8) that you can continue until the sequence breaks. As you progress, any face-down cards that are no longer covered by others are turned face-up, revealing more opportunities to clear the peaks.
