How to Create Your Own Cross Stitch Patterns

Begin your journey by selecting the "Create a Cross Stitch Pattern" button. This will open the Cross Stitch Pattern Editor, where you can start filling in the squares using DMC floss colors. Feel free to personalize your design further by adding your own colors.

To start crafting your masterpiece, use the pencil tool to fill in squares on your pattern. If you make a mistake, the eraser tool is there to help you correct it by clearing filled squares.

Enhance your pattern with over 80 stamps and borders, which you can easily apply to your design for a professional touch.

Understanding the Tool Bar

The button bar at the bottom of the screen offers various tools to help you craft your pattern:

• DMC Floss Color Button: Select the floss color you want to use.
• Save Button: Save your current pattern.
• Pencil Button: Fill in squares on your pattern.
• Eraser Button: Remove filled squares and backstitch lines.
• Backstitch Button: After selecting a color, use this to add backstitch lines.
• Backstitch Move Button: Drag a backstitch to a new location.
• Backstitch Move Stitch End: Adjust either end of a backstitch.
• Stamps Button: Add pre-designed stamps to your pattern.
• Borders Button: Apply borders that automatically wrap around your pattern.
• Dropper Button: Extract a color from your pattern to use more of it.
• Bucket Button: Fill a selected area with the current color.
• Bucket+ Button: Replace one color with another.
• Undo Button: Reverse your last action.
• Redo Button: Reapply an action you've undone.
• Selection Box Button: Select an area for cutting, copying, rotating, or flipping.
• Cut Button: Remove the selected area of your pattern.
• Copy Button: Copy the selected area to the clipboard.
• Paste Button: Paste the copied area and drag it to the desired location.
• Rotate Button: Rotate the selected area or the entire pattern.
• Flip Right/Left Button: Flip the selected area or the entire pattern horizontally.
• Flip Top/Bottom Button: Flip the selected area or the entire pattern vertically.
• Zoom In Button: Enlarge the pattern for detailed work.
• Zoom Out Button: Reduce the pattern size for an overview.
• Symbols Button: Display symbols on each color to indicate its value.
• Picture Button: Convert a picture from your device into a pattern.
• Social Media Button: Share your pattern via email, text, or other social media platforms.
• Resize Bars: Located at the bottom right corner, drag these to resize your pattern.
• Option Settings: Customize the grid color, fill style, and choose whether to display row/column counters.
• Instruction Page: View the DMC colors used and calculate finished sizes for different Aida Cloth sizes.
• Finished Product Page: Preview how your pattern will look when completed, with the option to change the fabric color.
