FortiToken Mobile

FortiToken Mobile is a robust One Time Password (OTP) generator app designed for MultiFactor Authentication, compatible with both event-based and time-based OTPs. As an OATH-compliant application, it seamlessly integrates with Fortinet's suite of security solutions, including FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, and FortiToken Cloud, to provide a highly secure, user-friendly, and cost-effective authentication method.

Privacy and Control

Your privacy is paramount with FortiToken Mobile. The app does not have the capability to alter your phone's settings, capture images or videos, record or transmit audio, or access your emails. It also does not monitor your browsing history. FortiToken Mobile will only send notifications or change settings with your explicit permission. Importantly, the app cannot perform a remote wipe of your device. The only information it requires is your OS version to ensure compatibility with the app's version. During manual installation, you may need to enter sensitive information such as your email address or token seeds for FortiToken tokens, 3rd Party tokens, and Token Transfer.

Permissions

While FortiToken Mobile respects your control over your device, certain permissions are necessary for its operation:

• Camera Access: Required for scanning QR codes to facilitate easy token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID: Utilized to enhance app security.
• Internet Access: Essential for token activation and receiving push notifications.
• "Send Feedback by Email": Automatically populates the "Sender" field for ease of use.
• File Sharing: Allows internal sharing between applications to attach files for feedback emails.
• Keep Awake: Ensures the phone remains active during database upgrades to prevent data corruption.
