Unlock a world of customization with Keymapper! This powerful tool lets you remap a variety of hardware buttons to suit your needs, transforming your device's functionality. You can remap fingerprint gestures on supported devices, volume buttons, navigation buttons, and even buttons on Bluetooth or wired keyboards. If you have other connected devices, their buttons might also be remappable. Dive into creating "triggers" by combining multiple keys, whether from a single device or multiple devices, and set them to activate simultaneously or sequentially. Customize further by setting keys to respond differently when short-pressed, long-pressed, or double-pressed. For added control, you can apply "constraints" to your keymaps, ensuring they only activate under specific conditions.
However, there are some limitations to keep in mind. You cannot remap the power button, Bixby button, mouse buttons, or any components of game controllers like the D-pad, thumb sticks, or triggers. Also, remember that your custom key maps won't function when the screen is off, a restriction imposed by Android itself.
Wondering what actions you can assign to your remapped keys? The possibilities are vast, and while some actions require a rooted device or specific Android versions, you can find a comprehensive list of available actions at docs.keymapper.club/user-guide/actions. Not all permissions are necessary for the app to function, but certain features may require specific permissions:
Be aware that on some devices, enabling the accessibility service may disable "enhanced data encryption". For more information and community support, check out the Keymapper Discord at www.keymapper.club or visit the official website at docs.keymapper.club.
The latest update, released on September 12, 2024, brings support for Android 14 and includes numerous bug fixes. For detailed information, see the changelog.
