Koikoi is a captivating game played with Hanafuda, the traditional Japanese playing cards, offering players a blend of strategy and luck. Here's how to immerse yourself in the world of Koikoi:
Begin by taking turns with your opponent to play cards onto the table. The key is to create matches based on the months depicted on the cards. When you successfully match cards of the same month, you can claim them as yours.
The game can conclude in your favor if you manage to collect a flush, which is a set of cards from the same month. However, you have the option to continue playing, aiming to increase your score further. It's a strategic choice: end the game with what you have or risk it for greater rewards.
Keep in mind that if neither player can score, the game is considered a draw with no points awarded.
Victory in Koikoi is determined over a series of 12 games, with the winner being the player who accumulates the highest total score across these rounds.
Your progress in Koikoi is automatically saved, allowing you to track your performance and strategize for future games effortlessly.
