Kai: Meet Kai, a formidable ex-mercenary with a surprisingly gentle side, encountered early in Dawnshore. This tank-like companion excels at both absorbing and dealing significant damage. His fire abilities prove invaluable for clearing obstacles and uncovering hidden treasures. Kai's upgradeable abilities include:

• Fire and Ire (Active): A powerful blunderbuss shot that stuns and taunts a single enemy.
• Unbending Defense (Active): Regenerates health and boosts damage reduction.
• Leap of Daring (Active): A powerful leap that stuns and taunts nearby enemies.
• Second Win (Passive): Revives Kai with 50% health upon reaching zero.

Marius: Encountered in Dawnshore, Marius shares a history with Kai. This skilled hunter and tracker brings his expertise to both narrative and gameplay. His Hunter Sense helps locate loot and crafting materials, while his combat prowess utilizes bow and arrow, daggers, and nature-based traps. Marius's upgradeable abilities are:

• Binding Roots (Active): Roots an enemy in place.
• Heart Seeker (Active): A piercing shot that ignores obstacles.
• Shadow Step (Active): Vanishes and reappears to attack an enemy (up to 3 times).
• Wounding Shots (Passive): Attacks inflict bleeding.

Giatta: Found later in the Emerald Stair region, Giatta is an animancer whose magic plays a crucial role in the main quest. She provides support in combat with healing, shielding, and buffs, and her Spectral Jolt ability activates Essence Generators to reveal hidden paths. Giatta's upgradeable abilities include:
