This week, The Battle of Polytopia is free on the Epic Games Store, and the timing is perfect. With the $10,000 World Championship approaching, new players have a great opportunity to dive in, learn the basics, and perhaps even secure a spot at the live finals in Stockholm this December. While that might be a long shot, there’s no harm in aiming high.
Starting September 13th, the championship begins with The Battle of the Tribes, a ten-week qualification phase. Each weekend features tournaments where you’ll battle it out in the Might game mode, capturing capitals in best-of-three, single-elimination matches.
Every qualifier awards a champion for one of Polytopia’s 12 tribes, culminating in the Face Off round in November. This phase narrows the competition down to six finalists who will be flown to Stockholm for the in-person finals on December 6th. The event will include a studio audience, expert commentary, and a chance to shine at Midjiwan’s headquarters.

The stakes are substantial: the winner takes home $4,000, the runner-up earns $2,000, third and fourth place each receive $1,500, and the remaining two finalists get $500. If you’re ready to prove your skills, registration is free and open to anyone aged 18 or older. You can sign up through Challengermode’s Polytopia Official Space or directly in the game via Multiplayer > Tournaments.
With no entry fees, cash prizes up for grabs, and the game free this week, now is the ideal time to test your strategic abilities. Download The Battle of Polytopia for free today. For more details, visit the official website. Your journey to glory—and potentially a spot in Stockholm—starts now.
