Treyarch Unveils "The Tomb," a New Map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, in 115 Day Celebration

Treyarch is celebrating 115 Day with a flurry of announcements for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, including the highly anticipated reveal of a new map: The Tomb. This annual January 15th event brings a comprehensive blog post detailing upcoming zombie-themed surprises.

The Tomb, a desert-themed map, will launch with Season 2 on January 28th, adding to the Zombies universe just weeks after Season 1’s Citadelle des Morts.

The narrative follows Weaver, Grey, Carver, and Maya as they investigate an excavation site based on clues left by Gabriel Krafft, leading them to ancient catacombs dating back to 2500 B.C.E. The Tomb's connection to British archaeologist Sir Archibald Fotherington-Smythe remains shrouded in mystery.

Gameplay-wise, The Tomb promises a similar experience to Liberty Falls, featuring compact play areas designed for high replayability and numerous Easter eggs. Treyarch also teased a reimagined Wonder Weapon drawing inspiration from previous games and the return of a classic SMG.

Season 2 also introduces several quality-of-life improvements, including community-requested features such as tracking up to 10 Calling Card and Camo challenges in both Zombies and Multiplayer. A co-op pause option for Zombies, and the ability to rejoin matches with your loadout after being kicked, are also included. Zombies and Multiplayer HUD presets will be separated.
