In Limbus Company, the levels of your Sinners are crucial for determining their combat strength. Like other RPGs, you'll need to level up your teams to progress and tackle challenging content. Even the most powerful Sinner Identities won't stand a chance against enemies if they're underleveled. For newcomers, here's a comprehensive guide on the best ways to earn XP for your characters.
As we look forward to games like Ananta and Neverness To Everness, there's a growing desire for a stylish anime game that isn't gacha-based. While HoYoVerse games satisfy my gacha cravings, a triple-A experience similar to these, but without RNG monetization, would be a dream come true.
Combat and Grinding --------------------
For new players, combat is the primary way to earn XP. Every Sinner on your team gains XP after successfully clearing a combat encounter, regardless of their participation, though active fighters earn more XP. However, this method can be slow, especially as battles get tougher. To level up more efficiently, you'll need to explore other avenues.
Once you reach the midpoint of Canto 2, you'll unlock Luxcavation mode, allowing you to challenge specific enemies for various rewards. While these fights provide decent XP, the real value lies in the consumable items you can obtain, which are essential for leveling up.
If grinding for XP isn't your thing, you can use Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets to level up your Sinners' Identities quickly. These consumables, available in various rarities, are designed specifically for character progression.
Identity Training Tickets grant a flat amount of XP to an Identity, similar to level-up materials in games like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact. They're perfect for reducing the XP grind, but you'll need a substantial number to max out a character. These tickets come in four tiers, each providing more XP than the previous:
You can primarily farm these tickets from the EXP Luxcavation stages, and they're also available through the free and paid Limbus Passes and periodic attendance check events.
Level Boost Tickets instantly elevate your Sinners' Identities to a specific level, bypassing the need for XP. These are highly valuable due to their rarity and are mostly obtained via the Limbus Pass or occasional attendance check events. They cannot be farmed. Different Level Boost Tickets raise your characters to the following levels:
Currently, Identities can reach a maximum level of 50. Strategically balancing the use of Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets is key when leveling multiple characters simultaneously.
To use these consumables, navigate to the Sinners menu and long-press the portrait of the character you wish to level up.
