  • Kekker triumphs over Han in the grand finals of Etheria: Restart's inaugural international tournament
  • Shanghai hosted the game's first major offline esports competition
  • The latest update added two new characters and a PvE mode

Etheria: Restart has officially crowned its first global champion. Following a weekend of strategic brilliance and decisive plays in Shanghai, Kekker emerged victorious at the Etheria World Summit (EWS), overcoming Han in a gripping grand final to claim a $15,000 prize and significant bragging rights.

Organized by XD Games, the EWS Invitational represents Etheria's debut in offline esports, with Kekker's win setting a high standard for future challengers. All matches used standardized accounts, emphasizing tactical skill and in-game adaptability over collection strength.

Out of 128 global contenders, Kekker excelled through seven rounds of intense bracket competition. Beyond the prize money, Kekker gained prestige and the opportunity to face a surprise legendary guest in a special exhibition match. Han secured $7,000 as the runner-up, while semi-finalists earned $4,000 each.

Alongside the main competition, the finals also featured a casual invitational match, showcasing popular regional players in a lively display of diverse strategies. Discover top-tier characters with our Etheria Restart tier list!

If you haven't played Etheria recently, this tournament is the perfect reason to return. The recent Dreamscape update introduced a new PvE mode—a rotating maze with evolving elemental bosses and valuable rewards. You'll need dream keys to enter and skill to survive.

Additionally, two new characters joined the game this month. Fuqiu provides allies with turn acceleration and healing, while Nahor specializes in crowd control debuffs suitable for both PvE and PvP. Together, they refresh the meta just in time for the next competitive wave.
