Genshin Impact 5.7: Characters Skirk and Dahlia Debut

HoYoverse has announced the upcoming Genshin Impact update, Version 5.7, titled "A Space and Time for You," scheduled for release on June 18. This update introduces new playable characters, advances the main storyline, adds a fresh combat mode, and includes a tactical mini-game developed by the Sumeru Akademiya.

Skirk Arrives in Genshin Impact Version 5.7!

Skirk is an enigmatic figure with strong connections to the Abyss, most notably recognized as Childe's mysterious mentor. Her combat abilities are unique, featuring two distinct fighting styles and a special mechanic known as Serpent’s Subtlety.

Joining her is Dahlia, a new 4-star Hydro character who serves as the Deacon of the Church of Favonius. Dahlia specializes in a support-oriented playstyle. The first half of Version 5.7 will feature Skirk, Dahlia, and a rerun of Shenhe, while the second half brings back the Pyro Archon Mavuika and Emilie.

Where’s the Story Heading?

The new update continues the narrative from the Bedtime Story quest, deepening the Traveler’s journey alongside their sibling as the Abyss Order makes moves in Natlan. Tensions rise on both sides—Mavuika and her allies prepare for conflict, while Dainsleif returns in a new form to aid the Traveler.

In addition, the Sumeru Akademiya is launching a simulated adventure event blending tactical choices with randomized elements. Players can form a team of Companion Pieces and select one of two paths: rainforest or desert.

Version 5.7 also introduces a permanent battle mode called Stygian Onslaught, featuring three rotating bosses and six difficulty levels. Rewards include Artifacts and a new item, Dust of Enlightenment, which allows players to re-roll substats on Level 20 Artifacts.

Finally, a new slice-of-life series titled "Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter" will be added, offering lighthearted stories featuring characters like Thoma, Neuvillette, and Dori spread throughout Teyvat.
