Combining tales of cursed treasure and ancient civilizations with contemporary mysteries and murders, it's easy to see why Rise of the Golden Idol—the sequel to The Case of the Golden Idol—has become a fan favorite. Its second (and largest to date) DLC, The Lemurian Phoenix, launches on May 13th!

For the uninitiated, Rise of the Golden Idol puts a unique spin on the murder mystery point-and-click adventure genre. By examining each scene and gathering clues, you collect keywords that, when pieced together, reveal the perpetrator, motive, and story behind each crime.

Of course, solving these cases is rarely straightforward. Blending human ambition with glimpses of ancient technology, the game keeps you guessing—except when it comes to the gruesome murders and twisted mysteries where anyone could be guilty.

While developer Color Gray Games remains tight-lipped about The Lemurian Phoenix's details, they did share an enticing clue—a cryptogram unveiling the names of the DLC’s five upcoming chapters.

Players can anticipate new episodes titled: Eternity's End, Ascension, Royal Blood, Revelation, and A Blaze of Glory.
