HBO's Harry Potter Casts Malfoys

The upcoming Harry Potter HBO series has revealed its cast for Draco Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, Molly Weasley and several other pivotal characters.

Katherine Parkinson, renowned for her role in The IT Crowd, will take on the part of Molly Weasley - Ron Weasley's mother and the beloved matriarch of the Weasley family, a role previously brought to life by Julie Walters in the films.

Fresh talent Lox Pratt has secured the coveted role of Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter's platinum-haired Slytherin nemesis who serves as his primary antagonist throughout their Hogwarts years. Meanwhile, Johnny Flynn of Lovesick fame will portray Draco's cunning father, Lucius Malfoy.

Additional Hogwarts Students Cast

The production has also cast several newcomers to play Harry and Draco's classmates: Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown.

This announcement follows earlier casting reveals that included:

• Bertie Carvel (The Crown) as Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge
• Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby as Petunia and Vernon Dursley
