The Iconic 'Time Machine' from Back to the Future Is Now Up for Grabs in CSR2

Zynga's Custom Street Racer 2 (CSR2) celebrates Back to the Future's 40th anniversary with a time-traveling crossover event.

CSR2: A Back to the Future Experience

Starting now, players can add the iconic DeLorean Time Machine from the original film to their CSR2 garage. While it lacks performance boosts, it's fully drivable. Beyond the car, CSR2 offers a complete Back to the Future themed experience.

This includes a movie-inspired in-game interface, a new storyline, and multiple events. Three flash events spotlight the DeLorean, complemented by a community competition. Zynga promises further themed events throughout the year, making this more than a one-off update. Social media quizzes offer chances to win prizes.

No Time Travel, But a Legendary Ride

While the game doesn't offer time travel to 1955 (or 1999!), the CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is unique. Driving the gull-winged DeLorean is a major draw.

Zynga's VP of games, Sam Cooper, called the DeLorean one of history's most recognizable and beloved cars, emphasizing the excitement of letting players virtually race it.
