Studio Ghibli-Style Rural Life Sim

Morikomori Life has officially launched on Android and iOS, though currently only in Japan. This release is published by Realfun Studio. Previously, the game was available in China through Level Infinite, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, but that version was discontinued approximately one year ago.

The Rural Farm Life Sim Returns

One of the game's standout features is its visual presentation. The developers have masterfully captured a cozy atmosphere with art inspired by anime, particularly the distinctive style of Studio Ghibli. This isn't the generic AI-generated art seen lately; the environments genuinely look like stills taken directly from a Ghibli film.

The story follows Kaon, a young Japanese woman who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother inviting her to visit the countryside. She decides to return to Komori, the village where she grew up, to reconnect with her roots.

From there, players immerse themselves in rediscovering the simple joys of a peaceful life. Thanks to its 3D cel-shaded graphics, Komori's Japanese landscapes radiate warmth and authenticity, closely mirroring the charm of real rural scenery.

If you’re skeptical, don't just take our word for it. Watch the Morikomori Life trailers below and witness the stunning art style firsthand!

Embrace a Slower Pace in Morikomori Life

Morikomori Life centers on slice-of-life activities. You'll farm, cook, fish, hunt, and even build your own home from scratch. Chop wood, mine for ores, and uncover rare materials while exploring the world around you.

As you gather resources, new opportunities arise to upgrade your house and expand your lifestyle. Customize Kaon’s appearance to reflect your personal style, and befriend villagers as you settle in. Cook meals using foraged ingredients and assist locals with various odd jobs.

The game encourages self-expression through character customization, while its open-world design gives you the freedom to roam and discover hidden surprises at every turn.

Morikomori Life is now available on Android in Japan. If you're located there, you can download it from the Google Play Store. There’s no confirmation yet on a global release.
