Orna: The GPS RPG is launching into an exciting new chapter with the arrival of *Natureblight*, a limited-time in-game event set to begin on May 30th, 2025, and run until June 14th. As the latest installment in the *Terra’s Legacy* saga, this update challenges players to confront a powerful environmental threat—blending immersive fantasy gameplay with real-world ecological themes.

Introducing the Great Murk: A Threat to Nature

Developed by Northern Forge Studios, *Natureblight* shines a spotlight on planetary conservation, echoing the studio’s commitment to meaningful, eco-conscious storytelling. This marks their second participation in the Green Game Jam, supported by the Playing for the Planet Alliance. True to Orna’s signature style of merging real-world geography with fantasy, this event transports players to actual locations facing critical environmental challenges.

During the event, adventurers will journey across seven real-world regions, each represented as a unique zone within Orna’s dynamic world. At each destination, players will encounter a symbolic Animal Guardian embodying the spirit of that ecosystem. These include the Beaver in Prince Edward County, Canada; the vibrant marine life of Oceania’s Coral Reefs; the majestic Mountain Gorilla in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; and the ancient Bone Mammoth haunting the icy terrain near Dunkerque, France.

Additional guardians await in ecologically significant areas: the Giant Tortoise in the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador, the beloved Giant Panda in Chengdu, China, and the resilient Macaroni Penguin standing strong on the Antarctic Peninsula. Successfully bonding with these guardians allows players to recruit them as permanent companions—long after the event concludes.

Uncovering the Story of the Terrans and the Return of the Blight

As players explore these regions, they’ll uncover the tragic history of the alien Terran civilization—once destroyed by their own environmental destruction, including rampant deforestation, pollution, and mass extinction. Now, that same destructive force has returned in the form of the *Great Murk*, a corrupting presence threatening to engulf the world once more. Your mission? To resist the spread, restore balance, and protect the natural world from repeating the same fate.
