The Samsung S90D is the current-generation 2024 model. A new "S90F" version was announced at CES 2025, but it is not yet available. This television features Samsung's proprietary quantum dot (QD) OLED panel, providing greater brightness than traditional OLEDs while retaining the exceptional color accuracy, wide color range, and expansive viewing angles for which OLED is famous. Compared to a standard LED LCD TV, OLED delivers superior picture quality, near-infinite blacks, a near-infinite contrast ratio, and extremely fast response times.

In addition to its OLED technology, the Samsung S90D includes all the essential features for a premium gaming TV. It has a native 120Hz panel that can be overclocked to 144Hz, along with four HDMI 2.1 ports for running 4K at 120Hz on consoles like the PS5 or Xbox Series X. The S90D also supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM).
