Features

The Peak Hunters database is continuously expanding, offering detailed information on thousands of peaks across Central and Southern Europe. Using your phone’s GPS, you can log every summit you conquer and earn a point rating based on altitude and ascent difficulty. The higher and more challenging the peak, the greater your score!

Personalize your experience by adding photos, ratings, and notes to each peak you visit. All peaks are displayed clearly on an interactive map powered by OpenStreetMap, complete with marked tourist trails and elevation data. Filter peaks by country, mountain range, or proximity to your current location for easy navigation.

Offline Functionality

One of the app’s standout features is its full offline map support. Download map data in advance and access them anytime, even in areas with poor or no network coverage. Perfect for high-altitude treks and remote expeditions.

Add New Peaks

If you discover a peak not yet in the database, simply long-press its location on the map to submit it. Once approved, the peak will appear in the official list, and you'll be awarded bonus points for your contribution.

Badges & Statistics

Track your progress with an evolving set of collectible badges and detailed statistics. Common badges are earned through regular exploration, while rare achievements bring special recognition and congratulations from the Peak Hunters community.

Weather Forecast Integration

Plan your climbs safely with integrated 48-hour weather forecasts for each peak. Check conditions before you head out and make informed decisions based on real-time data.

MOUNTAIN RECOGNITION TOOL

Point your phone toward a distant summit with the distance filter enabled, and let the app identify the mountain in your line of sight. A powerful tool for orientation and discovery.

Privacy & User Modes

You can use Peak Hunters in completely anonymous (incognito) mode. All features work normally, but profile synchronization across devices is disabled. We recommend trying the app in incognito mode first, then upgrading to a registered account to enable cloud backup, profile recovery, and cross-device access.

No Ads, No Fees

Peak Hunters is completely free—no ads, no subscriptions, no hidden costs. Born from a passion for hiking and peak bagging, this app was created by outdoor enthusiasts for outdoor enthusiasts.

Now you can manually switch between dark and light themes for better visibility in different lighting conditions. Change the setting anytime from your user profile screen.
