Application Description

Create catch records for English/Welsh under 10m vessels that fish in UK waters.

Use this app to create and submit catch records for all English and Welsh under 10 metre (U10m) flag vessels that fish in UK waters.

All U10m flag vessels are required to record their catch. This data is essential for UK fishing authorities to monitor and manage fishing activity sustainably.

You can use this service if you are a:

registered vessel owner
skipper

Registered vessel owners will receive an invite email to register. The timing of your invite depends on your vessel's size. Once you receive the email, you have one calendar month to complete registration and begin using the service.

Skippers should contact the vessel owner to request an invitation to use the service.

If you are a member of a producer organisation and lease quota, you must not use this online catch recording service. Instead, continue recording your catch using a paper logbook.

This digital service replaces the following:

NEP1 form
MSAR1 form (note: local IFCAs may require additional information depending on your fishing location)
the requirement to maintain a physical logbook when leasing fish quota or fishing in specific ICES areas (currently IVc/VIId and VIId/VIIe)
