Introducing our comprehensive Audio Visual Lessons for Evangelism and Basic Bible Teaching, tailored specifically for Sunday School educators. These lessons, originally crafted by the AIC Sunday School Committee in Juba, Southern Sudan, have been skillfully adapted for broader use by Global Recordings Network Australia, with the gracious permission of the Africa Inland Church, Sudan. Designed to be used in conjunction with the audio-visual picture books provided by Global Recordings Network, these lessons are a response to the urgent needs expressed by young people tasked with teaching in Sunday School settings. The visual aids are essential for enhancing the learning experience and keeping the children engaged.
Our app boasts an impressive array of features:
This app is dedicated solely to the lesson segment of the Sunday School program, designed to fit within a twenty-minute timeframe. Teachers are encouraged to enrich the remaining time with singing, prayer, Bible reading, quizzes, and other interactive activities. We suggest concluding each lesson with a brief prayer and song that reflects the theme of the week's teaching. These lessons are tailored for children aged 7 to 12, ensuring a broad yet focused educational experience.
During the initial trials, teachers manually transcribed each lesson into exercise books, which necessitated keeping the lessons concise. While some lessons have since been expanded, they remain intentionally brief to provide a clear and comprehensive outline for teachers to further develop in their preparations.
Each lesson begins with a stated aim, guiding the teacher's focus. Recognizing that it's impossible to convey the full breadth of God's truth in a single lesson, the approach is to emphasize one or two key truths per lesson, allowing children to gradually build their understanding of God.
These lessons are not meant to be read verbatim to the class; rather, they serve as a supportive tool—a walking stick, not crutches—for the teacher.
