Game Introduction

Tute Cabrero is a beloved card game across South America.

Played by 3 to 5 players in a free-for-all format without teams.

The goal is to collect the most points—or strategically aim for the second-lowest score (known as "go to more" or "go to less")—where second place means defeat. The game uses a 40-card Spanish deck.

Card rankings descend as follows: Ace (11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4), Knight (3), Jack (2), followed by 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 (no value).

The first card played sets the suit for the trick—players must follow suit if possible. Without matching cards, any card may be played. Trump suits override all; without trump, the highest card of the leading suit wins.
