X-plore offers a comprehensive view of your Android device, both inside and out. With its dual-pane interface, you can perform common file operations like copying from one pane to another effortlessly. The tree view enhances your navigation, allowing you to switch locations swiftly and understand the folder structure clearly.
For power users with rooted devices, X-plore provides the ability to delve into system data, backup files, and remove unwanted applications. Standard users can opt to hide internal memory to avoid accidental system changes.
The app also facilitates the management of mass storage and USB memory sticks. Its WiFi file sharing feature allows access to your Android files from other Android devices over WiFi, and you can even manage your files from a PC using a web browser.
X-plore supports connections to FTP and FTPS servers, allowing you to configure multiple servers. It can also display shared folders on other computers in your LAN and connect to various web storage "Cloud" servers, enabling you to access your online files directly.
For secure file transfers, X-plore includes SSH File Transfer (SFTP) and a Terminal shell emulator. Additionally, the app features an integrated music player and a Vault function for encrypting sensitive files, even using your fingerprint.
The primary operations in X-plore involve managing files and folders through actions like viewing, copying, moving, deleting, compressing to Zip, extracting, renaming, sharing, and more. The app also offers an SQLite database viewer, displaying database files as expandable lists of tables, rows, and columns.
X-plore's user interaction is primarily touch-based. Clicking on folders or files opens them, while long-clicking brings up a context menu with various options for the selected item or multiple selected items. Built-in viewers for images, audio, video, and text are available, or you can configure the app to use system applications for file opening.
Archives such as Zip, Rar, and 7zip are treated as regular folders within X-plore, making file management even more intuitive.
