Game Introduction

Backgammon is a classic board game that combines strategy and luck, played in two main variations: long backgammon and short backgammon. The gameplay begins with players taking turns to roll the dice and move their checkers counterclockwise around the board.

The objective of the game is simple yet challenging: be the first player to bear off all your checkers from the board. To achieve this, you must first maneuver all of your pieces into your own "house," which is the last quadrant of the board. Once all your checkers are positioned there, you can begin removing them from the board according to the numbers rolled on the dice.

Victory goes to the player who successfully moves all their checkers around the board and removes them before their opponent does — a race of both tactical planning and calculated risk-taking.
