登場から9年を経て、インインフェルノドラゴンが新たなクラッシュロワイヤルのトレーラーに主演。レイコラ氏が、ドラゴンの型破りなハリウッドエージェントとしてスターへの道を追い求める姿をコミカルに演じています。
このお茶目なドラゴンは、クラッシュロワイヤルの役目を一時的に放棄し、ハリウッドでのより大きな野望を追いかけます。

インフェルノドラゴンの進化形態は、その戦闘効果を一変させます。標的を変更するとダメージがリセットされる基本形態とは異なり、進化版は累積するダメージ出力を維持し、壊滅的な打撃をもたらします。
「How to Evolve Your Dragon!」と題された今シーズンは、インフェルノドラゴン進化を導入するとともに、熾烈な2対2のリーグ戦モードを復活させます。このモードでは、フレンドやランダムなパートナーとチームを組むことが可能です。
アリーナ7から開始されるマイルストーンイベントでは、ランバージャック進化の欠片×3、エピックカードブック、限定カスタムアイテムなどが報酬として獲得できます。
クラウンチェース #1 では、バトルバナー（フレームとデコレーション付き）とエピックカードブックが、クラウンチェース #2 では、別のバトルバナーと進化の欠片×3がそれぞれ報酬となります。
6月から7月初旬にかけて、複数の特別ゲームモードとチャレンジで新進化カードがフィーチャーされます。インインフェルノドラゴン進化ドラフトは6月2日～9日、続いてインインフェルノドラゴンチャレンジ（6月6日～9日）ではバトルバナーとエモートが獲得できます。
その他のイベントには、デッキに進化カードを4枚まで投入可能な進化大暴れ（6月9日～16日）、マジカルトリオ（6月16日～23日）、4カードショーーダウン（6月23日～30日）があります。進化大放出（6月30日～7月7日）では、最大8枚までの進化カードを含むデッキが許可されます。
