The cult-classic mobile game, 868-Hack, is poised for a comeback! A new crowdfunding campaign is underway for its sequel, 868-Back, promising a renewed experience of hacking cyberpunk mainframes in this roguelike digital dungeon crawler.
Cyber warfare often falls short of its thrilling potential. We envision ourselves as effortlessly cool hackers like Angelina Jolie in "Hackers," but the reality is usually far less glamorous. However, 868-Hack, and its upcoming sequel, uniquely capture the essence of hacking. Like the acclaimed PC puzzler Uplink, it cleverly balances accessibility with challenging gameplay, successfully delivering on its premise.
868-Back retains the core mechanics of its predecessor, allowing players to chain together "Progs" to create intricate sequences of actions—a clever simulation of real-world programming. This sequel expands upon the original with a larger world to explore, revamped and enhanced Progs, alongside improved graphics, sound, and new rewards.

Conquering the Digital Landscape
868-Hack's gritty art style and cyberpunk aesthetic are undeniably appealing. Given the challenges faced by independent developers, supporting this crowdfunding campaign feels like a worthwhile endeavor. However, crowdfunding inherently involves risk, and while unlikely, unforeseen complications could arise.
Nevertheless, we wholeheartedly wish developer Michael Brough the best of luck in bringing 868-Back to fruition, continuing the legacy of the beloved 868-Hack.
