Krafton has officially rebranded *Dark and Darker Mobile* to **Abyss of Dungeons**, marking a clear step in distancing the project from Ironmace Studios amid their ongoing legal disputes with Nexon. While the title has changed, early reports suggest that the core gameplay remains largely unaffected, offering fans a familiar experience under a new name.
The legal conflict between Ironmace and Nexon centers around allegations of trade secret misuse. Nexon claims that former employees—who later founded Ironmace—used proprietary assets and concepts developed during their time at Nexon to create *Dark and Darker*. As this case continues to unfold, Krafton appears to be taking precautionary steps to protect its broader brand and publishing interests by renaming the mobile adaptation.
Although the rebranding suggests some level of creative distancing, there are currently no significant changes reported to the game’s mechanics or structure. Fans can still expect the same third-person RPG action and dungeon-crawling excitement that made the original concept appealing, just under a fresh title.

For supporters of Ironmace, the change may feel like a setback, especially given the uncertainty surrounding the studio’s future. However, the rebranding could also open doors for *Abyss of Dungeons* to evolve independently while the legal issues are resolved. The game is set for a soft launch on June 11th in Brazil, Thailand, Indonesia, and Mexico—offering an early glimpse into how the rebranded title will perform in key international markets.
