The user's simple inquiry about a Steam release date was met with a concise, and unfortunately negative, reply: it won't be happening. The user, left with no further explanation, has opted to purchase the game on Xbox instead.

Alan Wake 2's exclusivity to the Epic Games Store is noteworthy, as Epic Games not only published the title but also co-financed its development with Remedy. While Remedy reported that Alan Wake 2's sales met their expectations and expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, they also revealed that the game hasn't yet turned a profit over a year after its release. Looking ahead, Remedy will self-publish future titles, ensuring wider platform availability, including Steam.
