NetEase Games unveiled their captivating new life sim, Floatopia, at Gamescom. Expected to launch on multiple platforms, including Android, sometime in 2025, Floatopia invites players to a whimsical world of floating islands and unique characters. The game promises a charming experience of farming, fishing, and decorating your airborne island home.

The Floatopia trailer opens with a surprising apocalypse announcement, but fear not! This is a lighthearted end of the world, more akin to "My Time at Portia" than "Fallout."

A Cute, Sky-Bound Apocalypse

The game features a world of fragmented lands suspended in the sky, inhabited by humans possessing diverse supernatural abilities. These powers vary widely, with some characters possessing less impressive abilities than others. The game emphasizes that even seemingly insignificant powers can hold hidden potential.

As the Island Manager, players will engage in activities reminiscent of "Animal Crossing" and "Stardew Valley," cultivating crops, cloud fishing, and meticulously designing their island home. The ability to explore exotic locations and interact with diverse characters adds an exciting dimension to the gameplay.
