Get ready, fans of the beloved Avatar universe! Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios have just announced a thrilling new addition to the franchise with "Avatar: Seven Havens," celebrating the 20th anniversary of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The series' creators, Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, are set to unveil this 26-episode, 2D animated saga that follows a young Earthbender destined to become the next Avatar after Korra.

In a world reeling from a catastrophic event, this new Avatar finds herself marked as a potential destroyer rather than a savior. Hunted by both human and spirit adversaries, she embarks on a perilous journey with her long-lost twin to unravel their mysterious origins and safeguard the Seven Havens—the last bastions of civilization. This gripping narrative promises to delve deep into themes of fantasy, mystery, and the resilience of new characters.

"Avatar: Seven Havens" will be structured into two seasons, each containing 13 episodes, titled Book 1 and Book 2. DiMartino and Konietzko are co-creating the series alongside executive producers Ethan Spaulding and Sehaj Sethi. While casting details remain under wraps, anticipation is high for what this new chapter will bring to the Avatarverse.

This marks the first mainline TV series from Avatar Studios, who are also busy developing a feature-length animated movie centered around adult Aang. Set to hit theaters on January 30, 2026, this film promises to take fans on another epic adventure with the beloved character.

As part of the grand 20th anniversary celebration, Avatar Studios is rolling out an array of new books, comics, concerts, toys, and even a game in Roblox, ensuring fans have plenty of ways to immerse themselves in the Avatar world.
