The Battle Cats celebrates 12 years of quirky cat-fueled warfare! To mark this milestone, developer Ponos has launched a new Sengoku-era ad campaign, blending historical art with the game's signature humor.
Ninja cats, fish cats, and even the infamous "Gross Cat"—The Battle Cats' unique charm continues to captivate players. This enduring appeal is evident in its 12-year success in the competitive mobile tower defense market. Ponos' latest commercials transport players to the Sengoku period, showcasing strategic gameplay alongside amusing visuals featuring cat food cans.
Partnering with R/GA, Ponos presents "The Way of the Cat," a cinematic campaign that, surprisingly, left me wanting to "be the cat, become the cat."
“Celebrating 12 years of The Battle Cats, we aimed to highlight the game's strategic depth," states Ponos' COO and Managing Director Seiichiro Sano. "Our collaboration with R/GA honors our past while introducing new players to the exciting world of tactical cat combat.”
