Monster Hunter Wilds Hirabami Boss Fight Guide

Breakable Parts: Head and Tail
Recommended Elemental Attack: Fire
Effective Status Effects: Poison (3x), Sleep (3x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
Effective Items: Pitfall Trap, Shock Trap, Flash Pod
The Hirabami, unlike many solitary monsters, prefers the company of its brethren, making this a challenging group fight. Your best bet is to bring Large Dung Pods to disperse the pack, allowing you to tackle them one at a time.
Hirabami's aerial acrobatics can make melee combat frustrating. Heavy Slicing Pod Slinger ammo is your friend here. If you're short on ammo, severing the Hirabami's tail yields a Tail Claw Shard, which can be crafted into more ammo.
The Iceshard Cliffs arena offers environmental hazards to your advantage. Ice Spikes, Floating Rubble, and Brittle Ice Pillars can be strategically triggered to stun and damage the Hirabami.
The head remains the primary weak point, though its airborne habits make it a tricky target for melee fighters. Focus on attacking the neck when it descends, as the torso boasts high defense.
The Hirabami’s attacks are varied and unpredictable—bites, spits, and powerful dive attacks. While staying mobile is key, be mindful of its tail, which it uses as a devastating hammer.

How to Capture Hirabami in Monster Hunter Wilds
-----------------------------------------------
Capturing a Hirabami requires reducing its health to 20% or less (indicated by a skull icon on the mini-map). Set a Pitfall Trap or Shock Trap, then swiftly use a Tranquilizer before it escapes. While capturing provides rewards, it reduces the chance of obtaining extra materials from weak point hits.
This guide covers defeating and capturing Hirabami in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Remember to utilize Large Dung Pods or the SOS feature to ease the challenge.
