Boss battles, Mechagodzilla and Kong: details on the Fortnite and Monsterverse collaboration

The highly anticipated Godzilla skin, slated for release in Fortnite on January 17th, has had its details prematurely revealed through online leaks. Epic Games recently deployed an update containing the content, allowing dataminers to uncover the specifics.

Beyond the standard Godzilla skin obtainable via the battle pass, players can acquire a bundle featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong from the in-game store. This bundle also includes unique jetpacks and pickaxes designed to complement both skins.

A new boss event will launch concurrently on January 17th. One player will transform into a colossal Godzilla, wielding abilities such as atomic breath. Players must collaborate to defeat this formidable foe; the individual inflicting the most damage will receive a medallion granting a unique ability.

The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will be available in the Fortnite store at the usual time, with pricing as follows:

  • Kong: 1500 V-bucks
  • Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
  • Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
  • One emote: 400 V-bucks
  • Two wraps: 500 V-bucks each
  • Complete Bundle: 2800 V-bucks

In other Fortnite news, rumors of a Hatsune Miku collaboration are swirling. Social media interactions between the official Hatsune Miku account (reporting a missing backpack) and the Fortnite Festival account (confirming possession of the backpack) have fueled speculation. This collaboration may include a stylized pickaxe, a "Miku the Catgirl" skin variant, the standard Vocaloid skin, and potentially a virtual Hatsune Miku concert.
