Ten years of peaceful Sims life comes to an end! Burglars are back in The Sims 4, ready to test your security systems.
The Sims 4 developers recently announced a highly anticipated (though perhaps not universally welcomed) update: the return of burglaries.
Just like in previous games, installing an alarm system is your first line of defense. A triggered alarm will summon the police to apprehend the culprit. Skilled Sims can upgrade their alarm systems for improved reliability and automatic police alerts. If you lack an alarm, you can try calling the police directly—fingers crossed they arrive before your valuables vanish! Alternatively, a more peaceful approach involves attempting to befriend the burglar.
For those with expansion packs, creative solutions abound! Unleash your pets, summon spellcasters, or even deploy vampires and werewolves against the intruder. A futuristic freeze ray is another option for technologically inclined Sims. Remember, these more exotic methods require specific expansion packs.
The good news? This burglar update is available now, completely free for all players.
