Camping Guide for Atelier Yumia: Alchemist of Memories

by Thomas May 04,2025

In your journey through the Ligneus Region with Yumia and her companions in *Atelier Yumia*, you'll discover the delightful feature of setting up camp. This can be a bit tricky to figure out at first, so let's guide you through the process of camping in this enchanting game.

How to Craft a Camping Set in Atelier Yumia

To unlock the ability to craft Camping Sets, you'll need to progress through the story until you clear the manabound Dux Lighthouse. This is the first such area Yumia encounters. Once you've built a base on the newly revealed land, return to the Ligneus Survey Base and have a chat with Erhard. He'll unlock the camping feature for you.

Crafting a Camping Set requires the following materials:

  • 5% Energy
  • 3 Wood
  • 2 Water
  • 5 Fiber
  • 2 Charcoal

These materials are easily found around the Ligneus Survey Base. Water can be collected from wells or by picking plants along river shores, which also yield fiber. Charcoal is obtained by breaking down ore.

To craft your Camping Set, access the Simple Synthesis menu. Ensure you have a 4×4 space available; otherwise, your set will be sent to your stash at the Atelier or one of your bases.

Where to Camp in Atelier Yumia

Once you have your Camping Set, you can set up camp in any open area. Steer clear of narrow cliffs and dense forests; you need a bit of open space. There are numerous designated campsites, such as the River Campsite near the Ligneus Survey Base, where you can establish a temporary base.

With your Camping Set in your Exploration Bag, use the radial menu to check if the Camping option in the bottom right corner is highlighted. If it's greyed out, that spot isn't suitable for camping.

What to Do While Camping in Atelier Yumia

Camping is your exclusive opportunity to cook the food you gather during your adventures. It's crucial to find a camping spot to rest and prepare before tackling a boss or entering a manabound area, particularly on higher difficulty levels.

Additionally, camping allows you to enjoy unique dialogue from your companions, offering a deeper understanding of their personalities and stories, even if these interactions don't directly impact the main storyline.
