Captain America Soars to Disney+ in 'Brave New World'

by Elijah Feb 18,2025

Captain America: Brave New World: A New Era Begins

Over five years since inheriting the shield, Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, takes center stage as Captain America. This latest installment introduces both new and familiar faces, hinting at the next generation of Avengers poised to face Doomsday next year. While IGN critic Tom Jorgenson notes some recycled plot elements, he praises Mackie's performance, highlighting his ability to portray Sam's multifaceted personality alongside veteran actors like Harrison Ford, Carl Lumbly, and Tim Blake Nelson. Whether these strong performances are enough to elevate the film is ultimately up to the viewer.
