Navigating the Primitive weekly challenge in *Phasmophobia* can feel like a trip back to the Stone Age, but unlike our cave-dwelling ancestors, we're dealing with the added twist of ghostly hauntings. This challenge requires us to complete investigations without the crutch of electronics, pushing us to rely on our wits and intuition. Can we pull it off? Let's dive in and find out.
The Primitive Challenge stands out as one of *Phasmophobia*'s toughest weekly challenges due to the absence of electronic tools. You're tasked with identifying the ghost and completing investigations at 10 Ridgeview Court, a house-style map known for its navigable layout. To fully conquer this challenge, you'll need to successfully complete three investigations.
Facing this challenge means adapting to a minimalist loadout. Gone are the essentials like Flashlights, DOTs Projectors, and Video Cameras. Even Sanity Medication is off the table, but you start with a full Sanity meter to buffer against ghost encounters. Your arsenal includes two Tier 1 Crucifixes to ward off hunts, Tier 2 Firelights, and a set of Tier 1 Incense for added protection.
For evidence gathering, you're limited to two Tier 3 Ghost Writing books and two Tier 1 UV lights, doubling as both your light source and a means to detect ultraviolet evidence. Additionally, two Tier 1 thermometers help identify freezing temperatures.
Identifying the ghost requires keen observation of their behavioral traits, which differ across ghost types. Leveraging this knowledge, along with our no-evidence cheat sheet, can greatly aid in your success.
Your first move should be locating the ghost swiftly, as the lack of a fuse box increases sanity risks in the dark. The ghost's heightened activity in this challenge helps in tracking it down. Alternatively, you can use the provided Ouija Board in the laundry room to pinpoint the ghost's favorite room, though be prepared to lose 50% of your sanity and ensure you say "Goodbye" to avoid triggering a Cursed Hunt.
To tackle this challenge, select either Singleplayer or Multiplayer, then navigate to your Difficulty Settings above your profile ID. Choose 'Challenge Mode' and apply it. Head to the map board to manually select 10 Ridgeview Court, as the challenge won't do it for you. The loadout is pre-set and non-negotiable. Once ready, hit 'Ready Up' and 'Start' to begin.
The Weekly Challenge refreshes every Monday at Midnight UTC, or for North American players, on Sunday evening at:
