One of the highlights? Confirming that the newly introduced Moo Moo Meadows Cow, now a playable character, can indeed indulge in a variety of foods, including burgers and steak.

For those unfamiliar with the buzz, Mario Kart World recently announced the addition of the Moo Moo Meadows Cow as a racer, sparking a wave of excitement and creativity across the internet. Fans have been quick to embrace this lovable character, previously just a background figure in a single track, with a flurry of memes and fanart.

Amidst the excitement, a curious question arose from the community after the Nintendo Direct 2 trailer showcased Mario eating a burger. At the Nintendo preview event, the mystery was solved. The food items seen in the trailer are available at Yoshi's diner locations throughout the game's courses, functioning like a drive-thru where racers can grab take-out bags similar to item boxes. These bags can contain a variety of foods, from burgers and steak kebabs to pizza and donuts. And yes, Cow can eat them all.

During our hands-on session, we observed Cow consuming various items, including the burger. While other racers change costumes upon consuming these items, Cow does not appear to undergo any transformations. This raises intriguing questions: Is Cow simply enjoying the taste of beef, or is there a hidden power-up from burger consumption that Nintendo has yet to unveil? Could these be veggie burgers or Beyond meat kebabs?
