CS2 incoming: Halo Infinite Set to Launch S&D Extraction Mode with Deep Economic Mechanics

Halo Infinite, while not always the center of attention, continues to receive exciting updates. The latest addition is a competitive game mode, S&D Extraction, designed to deliver a strategic and refreshing experience.

Inspired by Counter-Strike, S&D Extraction puts a unique spin on the classic formula. Two teams of four players face off: attackers attempt to plant a device, while defenders try to stop them. Teams swap roles after each round, with the first team to win six rounds claiming victory.

A significant element is the robust economic system. Players earn in-game currency by completing objectives and use this to purchase equipment at the start of each round. Pricing dynamically adjusts based on player performance, and all gear is lost at the round's conclusion.

Item costs reflect their power and effectiveness. Expect cheaper options early in the match, escalating prices mid-game, and potentially even higher costs towards the end for players who strategically save their earnings. Respawning after elimination will also be a paid option.

S&D Extraction's launch is slated for 2025, promising a thrilling and competitive addition to the Halo Infinite experience.
