Cyberpunk 2077 finally arrived in Fortnite! A long-awaited crossover event, much to the delight of fans. However, the absence of the male version of protagonist V caused some disappointment. Speculation ran rampant, but the explanation is surprisingly straightforward.

Patrick Mills, Cyberpunk 2077's loremaster and the decision-maker, clarified the situation. The Fortnite bundle was limited to two characters, one of which had to be Johnny Silverhand. This left only one slot, and given Johnny's gender, selecting the female V was a practical choice, further influenced by Mills' personal preference.

No grand conspiracy, just a pragmatic decision. And a well-deserved second Fortnite skin for Keanu Reeves, following his successful John Wick appearance.
