Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Modes and Features
Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, Days Gone, is getting a remastered release for the PlayStation 5, boasting a range of new features and enhancements. Announced during Sony's February 2025 State of Play, the upgrade includes support for VRR and PS5 Pro, delivering improved visuals and performance.
Key additions include highly anticipated gameplay modes such as permadeath and speedrun, alongside an enhanced photo mode and expanded accessibility options. A new arcade-style mode, Horde Assault, challenges players with significantly larger hordes of Freakers than previously encountered.
Launching April 25, 2025, Days Gone Remastered offers a compelling upgrade path for PS4 owners at a cost of $10. A dedicated trailer showcasing these enhancements is available.
This PS5 release represents Sony's continued effort to bring enhanced versions of popular PS4 titles to its next-gen console. Days Gone Remastered joins other upgraded titles such as The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.
PC players aren't left out. Sony is offering the "Broken Roads" DLC for $10, providing access to the new modes, enhanced photo mode, DualSense support (where applicable), and the improved accessibility features.
A PlayStation.Blog post delves deeper into the improvements. Bend Studio highlights the PS5-optimized visuals, selectable between Performance and Quality modes, with PS5 Pro users benefiting from further visual enhancements and DualSense features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
New players can purchase Days Gone Remastered on PS5 for $49.99. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, offering eight PSN avatars and five early in-game unlocks as pre-order bonuses. For a complete overview of the State of Play announcements, check out our comprehensive roundup here.
