Valve's back from the New Year break, and developers are rolling out new game patches. Following the announcement of Deadlock's shift from bi-weekly updates, we anticipated a substantial patch, but Valve opted for a smaller, less intensive update to start the year.
This initial 2025 patch focused solely on balancing Yamato. His Shadow Transformation received a minor nerf, reducing damage scaling and lowering the attack speed bonus at the first level. Further adjustments weakened Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot, while Alchemical Fire underwent a slight rework.

A larger patch is expected, though the timing remains uncertain. Predicting a release date is currently impossible.
It's notable that Deadlock's player base has recently shrunk. This might be attributed to the popularity of Marvel Rivals, but with 7,000–19,000 concurrent players during its deep beta phase, the game's performance isn't poor. Remember, Valve hasn't yet revealed release plans or monetization details.
