Sphere Defense: A Minimalist Tower Defense Experience Now Available
Developer Tomoki Fukushima has launched Sphere Defense, a new tower defense game for mobile devices. The game tasks players with defending Earth from waves of enemies using strategically placed units and towers.
While the core gameplay remains true to the tower defense genre – strategic unit placement, resource collection for upgrades, and increasing difficulty levels – Sphere Defense distinguishes itself with its minimalist aesthetic and vibrant neon visuals.
Successful defense earns players resources to upgrade their units, leading to victory. Perfect runs (no damage taken) yield high scores.

Fukushima cites the classic tower defense game geoDefense by David Whatley as inspiration, highlighting its simple yet engaging design.
