Delta Force: Elite Warriors Now Available on Mobile

by Logan Feb 02,2025

Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now accepting pre-registrations for its mobile launch on iOS and Android. The game, a Level Infinite revival of the classic franchise, blends diverse missions and modes with a tactical gameplay approach. Tencent aims to make a significant mark on the modern military shooter genre with this late January 2025 release.

While the Delta Force name might not ring a bell for everyone, this series holds a prominent place in FPS history, predating even Call of Duty. Inspired by the real-life US military special forces unit, the games have always emphasized realistic shooter mechanics, advanced gadgets, and authentic weaponry.

Tencent's Level Infinite has masterfully reimagined Delta Force. The game features a Warfare mode offering large-scale combat reminiscent of Battlefield, and an Operations mode focused on extraction-style gameplay. A single-player campaign, heavily inspired by the 2001 film Black Hawk Down and the Battle of Mogadishu, is also slated for release in 2025.

Addressing Cheating Concerns

Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced controversy regarding its approach to combating cheaters. Tencent's aggressive anti-cheat measures, while intended to eliminate cheating, have drawn criticism for being overly restrictive. While the impact on the mobile version might be less severe, this initial negative perception could still affect player interest.

However, the mobile platform inherently presents fewer avenues for cheating compared to PC. Therefore, the mobile release still has the potential to meet player expectations.
