How To Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To embark on this feline adventure, you'll need to travel to the Omi region, which you'll reach around the midpoint of the game's story. Ensure your characters are well-equipped and ready for the journey before heading northeast towards Omi.

Your destination is Lake Biwa, a vast body of water central to the region. To reach the island, it's advisable to secure a boat from the nearby settlements of Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, you can swim to your destination.

Head towards the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, just northwest of Azuchi. Upon arrival, you'll discover Okishima Island, featuring a Kakurega where you can rest. The presence of drying fish near the docks hints at the abundance of food for a particular type of animal.

To immerse yourself in the feline charm of Okishima, proceed northwards towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll notice an increasing number of cats. Don't forget to pet them to add these adorable creatures to your collection for use in your Hideout, especially the rare kittens which are scarce elsewhere.

While most Leaps of Faith enhance your map with new locations, the true treasure on Okishima is the companionship of these cats. After taking the Leap of Faith and landing in the haystack, there's little else to do on the island except to enjoy the company of the cats. You'll also revisit Okishima later in Yasuke’s story, adding another layer of anticipation to your journey.
