Only the standard edition is available, but it includes the complete game. Note that Amazon's pre-orders are not currently listed; recent Switch releases have followed this pattern, launching directly without pre-order availability.

What is Donkey Kong Country Returns HD?

This isn't the first time this game has seen a re-release. Following its 2010 Wii debut, it was ported to the 3DS in 2013, adding eight exclusive levels. This HD version includes all original Wii levels plus those extra 3DS stages.

The game maintains its notoriously challenging gameplay. However, players now have the option to enable an easier mode (originally featured in the 3DS version), providing extra hearts and assistance.

Expect classic Donkey Kong gameplay: jumping across gaps, swinging on vines, barrel blasting, banana collecting, and much more. Two-player couch co-op is also available once Diddy Kong joins the adventure.
