Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Leaked by Saudi Ratings Board

by Savannah May 16,2025

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the Nintendo Switch 2, sparking excitement among fans even before an official announcement that the fighting game will be available on the new console. While we still await confirmation that this game, inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, is coming to the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, as spotted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, seems to confirm its arrival.

"Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," the tweet stated before being taken down, confirming that it had secured a 12+ rating.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, boasting "an incredible number" of playable characters, each with signature abilities, transformations, and techniques. In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, noting: "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."

Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 went live on April 24, with the console priced at $449.99. The response was as overwhelming as anticipated. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered from the My Nintendo Store, indicating that release date delivery was not guaranteed due to exceptionally high demand.
