First look: Farming Simulator comes to VR

Get ready for a truly immersive farming experience! Giants Software has announced Farming Simulator VR, bringing the popular farming sim to virtual reality. This "brand new" experience promises unparalleled realism.

Players will manage every aspect of farm life, from planting and harvesting crops with realistic machinery to tending greenhouses and maintaining their equipment. The goal? To build and expand a thriving virtual farm.

The announcement has been met with enthusiastic responses, with fans suggesting its potential as an educational tool and posing the ever-important question: what happens when you get too close to a combine harvester?

Farming Simulator VR launches February 28th, exclusively for Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro headsets.

Future virtual farmers can look forward to:

  • A complete agricultural cycle: planting, harvesting, packaging, and selling.
  • Greenhouse cultivation: grow tomatoes, eggplants, strawberries, and more.
  • Authentic machinery: officially licensed equipment from Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, John Deere, and other manufacturers.
  • Workshop maintenance: repair and maintain your machines in your own workshop.
  • Enhanced realism: even pressure washing is included!
