by Mia Feb 03,2025

Unravel the mystery surrounding your father's disappearance in My Father Lied, a captivating point-and-click adventure game launching May 30th!

Ahmed Alameen, a writer and filmmaker, presents his debut title: a narrative-driven puzzle game inspired by Mesopotamian history. Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman who embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind her father's vanishing twenty years prior, a mystery further complicated by the revelation of a previously unknown sibling.

Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins after a team split, mastering game design to bring his vision to life. The gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics, challenging you to piece together images, decipher codes, and explore stunning, evocative environments. He cites Myst, Heaven's Vault, and the works of H.P. Lovecraft as key influences.

Employing a blend of 2D and 360-degree imagery, including meticulously crafted frame-by-frame cutscenes, Alameen delivers high-quality visuals optimized for even low-spec PCs.

My Father Lied will be available on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam. Add it to your Steam wishlist now! Mobile pre-registration isn't yet available.
