Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Specs Unveiled

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K

Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Just two weeks before the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize a high-end graphics card with 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay.

The game leverages DLSS upscaling, ShaderModel 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate for enhanced performance and visuals. This follows the November PS5 Pro enhancement patch, boosting the game's capabilities on Sony's upgraded console. However, unlike Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Rebirth will not receive any post-launch DLC, as Square Enix focuses on developing Part 3 of the Remake series.

While some PC specs were previously revealed, Square Enix clarified the need for 12-16GB VRAM for 4K resolution. Other minimum requirements remain consistent: a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 operating system, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. Recommended CPU options include the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or higher, and the GPU requirements specify an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent, emphasizing the importance of DLSS for performance.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Full PC Specs (January 6):

Key Considerations:

  • 4K Gaming: A graphics card with 12GB or more VRAM is strongly recommended for 4K resolution. 16GB is preferred for optimal performance at Ultra settings.
  • ShaderModel & DirectX: Support for ShaderModel 6.6 and DirectX 12 Ultimate is mandatory.

Game director Naoki Hamaguchi previously highlighted the PC port's superior lighting, shaders, and textures. While Square Enix mentioned Steam Deck optimization, no further updates have been provided. The PC release is imminent, set for January 23rd.
