Eerie Worlds: A Thrilling Tactical CCG Featuring Global Folklore Monsters
Rifts are rarely good news in gaming, but Avid Games embraces the chaos in their highly anticipated game, Eerie Worlds, the successor to Cards, the Universe and Everything. This tactical CCG shifts the focus to monsters emerging from these rifts, offering a unique blend of fun and learning.
Avid Games has crafted a visually stunning array of monsters, each inspired by real-world mythological and folkloric horrors.
The game boasts an impressively diverse roster, encompassing creatures from various cultures. Encounter Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake, and Slavic monsters such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others from around the globe populate the game, each accompanied by detailed and informative descriptions.
Eerie Worlds features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating intricate tactical depth through varied monster properties. Your monster collection, known as your Grimoire, is upgraded by merging duplicate cards. Starting with 160 base cards, merging unlocks significantly more, with additional cards planned for release soon.
Avid Games promises two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring Eerie Worlds remains a constantly evolving challenge.
Gameplay involves a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, played over nine 30-second turns. Strategic choices regarding mana usage and synergistic combinations are crucial for success.
